Yeah! Somewhat amused by Blues' comment on my picture, and somewhat by Saturnine's. (Who doesn't look like I pictured her AT ALL...)

I thought Saturnine's photos were quite stunning. Especially the hair! She seems to be taking a break from h2g2 due to certain problems she had here. Which is a shame. I think her comment about your photo was also to express surprise at what you looked like - perhaps not how she had pictured you either?

Blues is back here in Seville right now for his second holiday. Yes, I'm sure he meant his comment to be humourous.

There had been one other comment that I removed because I wasn't sure if it was meant kindly or not. In fact, I've had to remove a few comments about various people. I check the site every morning and edit or remove things as I see fit.

But for the most part it is a very nice thing, I think.

Well, if you ever want to add another photo (many people have more than one in the gallery) you are very welcome to do so.

Oh! Spoilsport! Go on, tell me what it said - I'm always curious, and my shoulders are broad (as are HB's, who is, by the way, not my wife).

I hope Sat comes back, she's an h2g2 original, I think. I also think (hope) she's one of those people who, like me, gets periodically frustrated/disgusted/bored of this place to the point of leaving, but can't help popping back from time to time.

In fact the person assured me they hadn't meant their comment unkindly, just in a humourous way, but they also understood when I told them I was going to pull it *just in case* it was misread. It really was just something silly and I wouldn't like to possibly embarrass the researcher by repeating it here.

Anyhow, I was probably just being over-sensitive after finding two nasty and insulting comments from Apparition under blicky's and Tamberlaine's (Flipper) photos. Mature as ever, that one.

HB isn't your wife??? Oh, I'm sorry, Hoo. Shall I change the caption to 'Hoovooloo and the lovely HB' or would you prefer something else?

I also hope Sat will be back. I think she got discouraged after being stalked by some whacko and she didn't feel she got the support she needed from h2g2. This happened to me recently but luckily (?) the creep went on to abuse lots of other people on the Collective as well as here. So he finally got a lifetime ban. Well, perhaps Sat will be back after summer holidays.

As far as I can remember it was a comment saying something like - 'I was about to say what a lovely couple until I saw HB's name tag, which scared me'. Or something similar.

As I say, I was probably over-reacting about things being taken the wrong way after receiving that crap from Apparition. Boy, I was so pissed off at him for invading my photo gallery with his pathetic nonsense about his supposed 'hootoo enemies'. Aaargh and snore.

The main rule I have now for comments left is that they cannot be left 'anonymously' or they will be removed.

Meanwhile, I have changed your caption to read 'with the lovely HB' rather than your 'lovely wife'. If you'd like something else as your caption just let me know. And please send another photo if you like! The gallery is a work in constant progress with people sending in new photos as they find other ones they would also like to have there.

Thing is, HB's name tag says 'Hoovooloo's Bitch', which I took as humourous. I just didn't know if the researcher's comment was meant to be humourous as well.

Sad day today, Ben. Just discovered a third tumour in my lovely cat Lua. Poor thing. I've been in tears all morning and have even had to cancel my afternoon classes. Just feel too f**ked up about it all, you know? Happily my students understand.
