Just thought I would drop by and say I'm not happy with the way things have gone at the Tearoom. I cannot believe the blatant disregard for Continuity. I was setting it all up for a nice explosive ending when Monsy jumped in. So I won't be posting to the forum from now on. Sorry, it was working so well too.
just thought I would let you know.
I won't be online much over the next couple of days, but will be checking my emails, so feel free to drop me a line smiley - smiley

I thought as much. Well, you know how I feel about it, so I too won't be there anymore. I must say though, I read your last post in there and I was kinda worried that I have given you any offence as well. If so, none intended. After I tried to create a diversion, I was ignored completely so you didn't have a chance to continue on that anyway.

I'm glad we agree on this, and I will probably drop you a line or send you an email later smiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smiley

We were having fun, and now its all wrecked. I feel very badly about it. This does not look good for our retirement Village idea, does it? I am feeling discouraged. Thank you both for being so wonderful in your roles. You were magnificent boyfriends!!

H2g2 'Police' also crashed into a CotTB forum and upset that, going way overboard and taking over the natural flow of the forum. So this is the second time it happened in my experience. Both incidents had to do with illicit drugs. They must be patrolling the forums waiting to pounce and don't care if they are upsetting people.

You will notice that I have not posted there for a while. I agree with all that has been said here, but particularly regarding the "magnificent boyfriends"
For the one has been more that that. smiley - smiley

OK, that's it. I've head it up to *here* with this madness. Like I said before, I don't blame anyone for what happened. The reason why I dropped out of a few forums is just a matter of circumstances. Things that happened at the wrong time, and it had nothing, I repeat nothing to do with people who did or did not perform acts that could've upset me. Now, if everybody will please let it rest and continue h2g2ing the way they did before. To be honest, I don't think this whole situation isn't even worth mentioning. I won't say anything else about this matter and if people are having problems with it, they know how to contact me

Thank you for your time,
Kheldar

I've dropped by to let you all know that Monsy has withdrawn from h2g2 and has deleted her name from her home page, etc. smiley - sadface

I have seen it, and I can't say I blame her. I feel very bad about all this. How did it get this far? This is not the way h2g2 is supposed to work smiley - sadface. To all of you, I'm sorry...

Having just found this place after a few days of not signing on to h2g2 as shazz... due to being unwell... may I say that I am both upset and very, very disappointed. smiley - sadface
I know that it is not really good 'form' to harp on about things going wrong in fora, especially when you are probably the guilty party, but I owe it to Monsy, if not the rest of you, to explain the events leading up to what appears to have been mass near-simultaneous posting and possible misunderstanding.
Firstly, I was asked by email to close/move the TeaRoom forum in anticipation of the move to the soon-to-be set-up village. I tried to think of a neat way of doing this and thought that a police raid would probably be the best option... a little time in a paddy wagon, a couple of days in jail, and all out in time for the inauguration of the new site. With this in mind I set up the possibility by having the smoke waft outside and the handy policeman with a wap phone... something quite unbelievable certainly on this side of the pond. As I had just posted this, Monsy came on line. My only thought was 'great, someone who has not actually been involved in the forum before, so someone who can storm in and convincingly play the part I thought I had set up... notice the word thought in this sentence please!
Monsy read through the forum and agreed to play her part. As far as I am aware, Monsy has NEVER played the part of a policeman anywhere on h2g2 before... certainly not to the extent that has been suggested in a posting higher up this page I think, and has, to my knowledge, never barged in and intentionally ruined or broken up a forum just to be a nuisance. If I had not invited her over to the forum, she would have never even posted!smiley - sadface
So... what are we left with?
Monsy seems to have disappeared off h2g2, a fact in itself which really indicates to me that my time here is also at an end.smiley - sadface
Khedlar is also considering leaving as he feels partially to blame for Monsy being upset. smiley - sadface
My ecircle will probably be in tatters... how can I call it my 'h2g2 friends' if we longer appear to be that! This would be a great shame as I feel that I have grown to know most of you much better at that particular place. smiley - sadface
My time at the Post must most certainly come to an end also. I cannot possibly be responsible for running it if
a) I have lost my best, most constant supporter, who was always there when others failed me.
b) Have apparently lost the integrity required to run a succesful, hopefully unbiased paper.
c) Am no longer a full member of the community, so cannot really comment on the usual items which are so much fun.
If I can persuade Monsy that she is not the forum-breaking ogre she seems to have been labelled, and can convince Khedlar that he was not to blame, and maybe can reconcile myself to the fact that, through my actions, two of the h2g2ers whom I mostly admire have felt the need to take drastic action, then maybe this can all become more water under the bridge.
I sincerely hope so, as h2g2 has a very special meaning for me, not the least because it was where I met TM!

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Monsy, to everyone participating in last week's tea room forum, and to h2g2 at large. I am very sorry to have misunderstood the situation and to have not noticed the simulposting; but I am especially and more importantly sorry to have over-reacted as I did and for jumping to false conclusions. I am sincerely sorry and sick at heart over this whole thing. I hope Monsy and Kheldar will reconsider and return to h2g2. I hope Shazz will not stop writing the Post. Again, I apologize to all.

We are all... at the end of the day... friends! smiley - smiley
I think that the whole thing just developed into a mass-misunderstanding! As you may, or may not know, Monsy was one of my first contacts on h2g2. She, along with MadMunk, encouraged me... a computer illiterate and newbie to the net in general... to develop and grow within h2g2. She also instigated the fact that maybe... just maybe... TM and I were *suited*, that we should chat privately outside h2g2, and even *get together* IRL! For that, if nothing else, I feel a great loyalty and camaraderie with her!
I will say, however, that, having lived through a few h2g2 *drama's (infact I am having some problems controlling the Virtual Prez campaign atm!) on h2g2, that I DO feel mature enough and settled enough in myself, to write most of the mis-interpretation off as just that! So... I phoned Monsy yesterday, to let her know that I still valued her friendship, have spoken to Kheldar and have discussed this ridiculous (yes... it is really silly at the end of the day!) situation with TM!
For well over a year now, h2g2 has been part of my life, Monsy and TM are part of that, and maybe I was letting my heart rule my brain! (That has to be better then how men are sometimes percieved to rule!... no offence intended!)
So... lets just write this all off as *one of those things*. I do not want to leave h2g2, I certainly do not want to lose ANY of the friendships forged here, and would really like to continue with the Post... what else can give so much satisfaction and yet drive you slowly around the bend week after week. LOL
So... Marie-Rae, do not worry! The pen is mightier than the sword, and we never used a sword!
Meet me in the circle and you will see what I mean. smiley - smiley
We all have the same sense of humour at the end of the day, and I am a *wimp* in that I prefer to use humour and love rather then be vindictive. As with all Brits, I think that my humour can be too ascerbic sometimes... I freely admit that, and it is open to misinterpretation, but... that is just the way I am! (The nice thing for me is that TM also likes it!)
Love shazz... who is very good at embroidery but not needlework, so can sew a great patch over this whole affair! smiley - smiley
