Kheldar is the thief/spy/merchant/prince (12th in the line of succession(?))/..., Drasnia, from David Eddings' books Belgarion.
You should read those again! They're great fun and a lot quicker 2 read than Jordan.

Greetings and aslutations.
Kheldar is the spy, thief, assassin and prince of Drasnia in the Belgariad books by David Eddings.
You can find a short introduction to Kheldar at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Vault/4563/Kheldar.html (Shameless selfpromotion!)
I used that handle online for about 3 years before I moved to Scotland and became who I am today.

Silly me! I should have remembered that he was in the Belgarion! Thnx guys for reminding me! I agree about Eddings versus Jordan! I think that Jordan is guilty of procrastination now... I seem to spend months waiting for the next book in the *wheel* cycle, only to find that it doesn't actually go anywhere these days
Trollocks to the both of you

Thanx for the link. I myself have used Kheldar for a nickname ever since I read the Belgariad. He's one of my favourite fantasy characters ever, so it's kinda like a tribute

I too chose to use the handle Kheldar since he was the character I liked the most. Before that, I actually used the handle Ford Prefect (sound familiar?).
There's another, really great, site about Eddings work. It's called "The Vale" and it's located at http://valhalla.vossnet.co.uk/p/paulf/eddings.htm
Paul, that maintains that site, has a pretty good compilation of Eddings stuff, as well as a news letter with updates pretty much what Eddings does, or will do. Right now, he's got a competition going where the recipients of the news letter can win a hard-back copy of 'The Rivan Codex', which I personally found to be a very interesting book to read.
Anyways, I'll stop babbling now.

I agree with you that the Rivan Codex is an interesting book! Unfortunately for me I left it behind in England... now I just need to start to read Dutch and I can buy one here LOL
