Now it's been a while since i was in Dublin, but i have a somewhat hazy memory of a place called the Porther House. I think we should stop around there too, Great place, lots of seating, live music, and a phsycho kilo of mussels once the beer's been flowing for a while!

A couple of years ago I had the extreme good fortune of a regular at the pub I used to work in giving me his day return air ticket to Dublin because he ended up having to work. I found my way to the Porter House, and almost missed my flight back. Lovely pub, and not a pint of Guiness in sight

I nearly missed my flight the Christmas because I found the airport bar - and this despite getting to the airport itself about 2 hours before the flight...though this was as much to do with the beauty of my coworker returning at the same ady as with the quality of the pints .

Airport bars are dangerous like that, not that I fly often, I just used to pick people up from airports a bit, and they'd end up driving away as I was rarely in any fit state

"The Hairy Lemon" was going to get an honourable mention except they're chharging £2.85 a pint! Apparently all the pubs are going to follow suit in the next few weeks - apart from the pub in the Doil, naturally

On the grounds that Dublin can't go a full month without a drinking festival, the Heineken music fest startss on April 28th - and the porter house is one of the main venues
