Hi,
i've been reading this story with a lot of fun althoug i'm thinking that a common believe is better than the stone cold facts.
I rather prevere plain ingnorance or stupidnes over bloody facts, because the ignorance off poeple in general has a big advantige when people are telling each other story's by the fire place.
The best story's are when people can scare their beloved one's to hell(some probebly ended up there because they were really scared to dead). The ice cold facts for the reason their could be vampires in the past isn't helpfull in the future to tell these great story's.
Whene good story's are dissapering so would the unniverse as whe all know it because no one would know what were doing here any way(i was thinking i was making some sence but whem i started reading i'm not so sure any more)

You do have to remember that a lot of the worlds worst wars were, and still are, fought for beliefs.
I.E. I belive that you should belive in the same I do! = The Crusades.
Beliefs are dangerous things, but then again so are cold hard facts, to many and they take the spark and fun out of life, if we knew why we were we wouldn't have the fun finding out which is why I think we are here, to find our own purpose! wow I've just explained the meaning of life and it's given me a headache, to much thought - brain...... sie....ze.....ing................

Ignorance Is definetly a harmful thing. When these myths were prevalent and discussed around the fireside it reinforced their 'truth' and many innocent people were killed. Unfortunately in some less educated areas of the world such as the island of sumatra in indoneisa, people are still getting battered to death by mobs who accuse them of withcraft.
There is nothing wrong with a scary camping story (the best part of camping in my opinion) but when these stories are discussed as fact is where the problem starts.

Belief is one of the worst aspects of religon [the last outpost of ignorace and superstion]. Unquestioning obedience is perhaps the worst invention of humanity it has been the engine of the Inquestion and other genocidal organizations [you ever been inside a gas chamber?]. And what is belief but the unquestioning obedience to a dogmatic worldview whose holders will hang on to reguardless of the facts or the situation. Ever argued with a theologian? Ever noticed their circular arguments that assume the very thing they try to prove. Generally believing that even if we srew up the world it won't matter because there's always Heaven...
Belief is a dangerous thing, it lets people treat fiction as fact; fantasy as reality. Science is based on doubt not absolutes.

Heaven isn't a bad place to end if you belief in it.
The fact of believing is the abcence of facts

I know for a fact that Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be (long live ACDC). I thought that every day I worked in a smelter. Molten rock and fumes, and cool people. Right-on. Heavy duty for shure.
Who wants to go to heaven anyway...they probably don't play Black Sabbath there, or any other good bands.

Even tho I believe this world we live in now to be hell, Siberia sounds fine to me.
The colder the better! Hell would have to be Florida or the Bahamas or something....
