Miami is the only place in the United States where deadly force is acceptable for the protection of property. So, if you look like you're going to break in to someone's house, and they blow your head off, they are in their right. This is not at all put up with in the rest of the United States where deadly force is only alowed when there is deadly risk.

Blimey, I'll say thanks for this little bit of info, as I'm living in Miami at the moment just for a few months, and would quite like to keep my head

I actually know a little bit about the Miami social structure, laws, and ethnic grouping. It may be old news to you but I could present an article on it if you like ...
