...which means that I have to leave extra long ones which nobody will want to read. Fan-tastic. Anyway, in previous episodes, I was about to leave for Paris. Paris was good. We saw the sights, bought things, larked about and generally got drunk every evening, such as is befitting for our generation. The view from the top of the Eiffel tower was truly spectacular and easily beats anything in London. Unfortunately, the trip was too short to do any activity for very long, and so everyone was left with a sense of longing on the coach home.
The Ivanisevic beat Henman! (sorry everybody, but he did deserve it)
The day after my return from Paris was the now much talked about summer meetup, which as I previously mentioned I was naturally apprehensive of. It was definitely better than I expected, a lot. Rather than say the typical 'it was SO nice to see all of you ', I'll defy convention and say you were all a bunch of s.
In all honesty, you weren't, but its an unoriginal and boring thing to say .
Nuff respect to Big Mad Mr. T, Conrad R, Frankie Roberto, Uncy Heav (for not messing up my house ) and Insane Endeavour (I can't believe I almost lost the badge... it was fantastic!) for being vaguely youngish people and hanging out with me. Nuff spec also to the italics for organizing the whole thing (I'm still holding on to that invite to the towers, btw!). Sorry to all those who haven't been mentioned yet... consider yourself mentioned!
Since then things in general have been better than usual. Combined Paris/meet-up hysteria lasted until I saw myself in the photos... at which point I became horribly depressed...(photogenicity-sobriety theorem). Things at sixth-form wound down to the point where there were hardly any lessons and therefore lots of free time to go out, go to band practice and various other non-educational pursuits.
"Domesticide" (*sigh*) are doing fairly well. We currently have 7 songs which are all almost ready and just need 'tightening up' as they don't say in the 'biz. This, apparently, is enough for a set, and the band are eager to start gigging soon.
Personally, I'm bricking it...
And that brings us up to today, when school FINALLY ended for the holidays. Any other information about the past three weeks is available on polite request.

Gigging Tip
shrinkwrapped Posted Jul 21, 2001
Here is a really useful tip that isn't very obvious, so listen good:
When you play your first "big" venue, do not play a song which is themed on the owner of the venue and employer of its' dedicated staff being a drugged up loony who goes on a rampage ranting obsceneties and looking in peoples bins for rusty aidsy needles.
We did this, and can never play there again. If Comrade Rumble is lurking in this thread, which I'm sure he is, he will vouch for me. Oh, and don't drive near to a Police House with Daniel Russell in the boot of your car.
That last bit wasn't a gigging tip, you understand, but one for life in general.

I'll try to avoid Daniel, no matter how tempting it might be to stuff him in my boot and drive past a police house...
