Well, I didn't get to see the 'tones in the end, but I did get to see a band called Goldfinger on thursday. To anyone who doesn't really do gigs, I would describe it as 'fun, if you like that sort of thing', and there is no shortage of people who do. Unfortunately, its not for the faint-hearted or small. Being both, this makes it hard for me. Supporting the 'fingers was a ska-punk crossover band called King Prawn. Babar Luck (of the Prawn, politically bearded loon) has now joined my list bass-playing role models. Nobody pulls off a beard and pyjamas (indian style) like he can. He plays well too.
I've just finished packing for the Paris trip (which I don't actually leave for until tuesday... mothers *rolls eyes*). Hoping to thoroughly enjoy the "cultural wealth" (or food and beer, to you and I) of France's premiere city. All joking aside, it should be a nice relaxing, enriching experience (the last time I saw the city, I was 10, and Disneyland was kind of the priority). For once I actually believe that advisory/instructional/informational pamphlet thing our teachers always give us before one of these trips. Paris rocks!
I'm struggling to find anything else to talk about... so it ends now
