h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

They always phrase the questions in an ambiguous way in any kind of personality test. That's one thing I have learnt from doing several of thes things over the years. The other is; if you follow what you've been told to do they seem to come out about right (well at least for me anyway )

I have been known to plan shopping like an attack. It's usually when I don't have much time or money. If I have either money to burn or none whatsoever I will usually browse around. I think both methods are fun. The only problem with my planned sessions is that whoever is with me can never keep up.

That's like newspaper horoscopes, or the prophecies of Nostradamus, etc. If it's vague, then it can always be interpreted as being true to fact.

How can there be so many extroverts around here?

I didn't just take the test like some of you, but I've taken it before. A few times. It either doesn't do well with me, or I'm one mixed up kid.

I basically come up INXP. X? Can't decide. I've tied on T-F more than once. And come up N. The first time I took a full panel MBTI (my first ever experience with the types), it was T, but there's like 40 determining questions, and I answered 6 T, 5 F. (You're allowed to not answer if no clear choice.) On the other hand, I proudly answered 28 P, 0 J.

INTP and INFP are the two rarest types. Plus usually NT and NF are used for larger groupings. And I can't decide between them.

Similar dilemma. It appears that in the decade or so since I last took a Myers-Briggs test, I've shifted from INTP to INFP, but only by one point.

So long as I remain Ntuitive, I'll be happy. Last time I took the test I got the maximum score for that part of the acronym.

That's cool. And interesting. It's been about 10 years since I first took the test. And certainly over the years I've come to associate myself with the more idealistic NF, but I certainly still relate to a lot of the rational NT stuff.

INTJ, Scorpio, Yorkshireman. If I say I'm right, I'm bloody well right, right?

INTJ, Sagitarius-Capricorn, Australian. Sort of blows the 1%. Not everyone calls me a mastermind, and if I am, why do I have to work for a living?

I don't get it:
First I was a Rational NT, Architect INTP
then I took the test again and I got Guardian SJ, Protector ISFJ
I noticed there were a couple of different questions though, maybe I should try it again.
I do not like to be compaired to Ayn Rand at all! (NT-INTP)

I got the same answer and my boyfriend told me I should accept it - who is he to tell me so! I'm the one who has to live with my mind, he only has to endure me every day

For at least the fourth, and possibly the fifth, straight time, I came out ENTP (Inventor), but this time, as opposed to others, leaning more towards P than J, which is usually a 5-to-4 proposition. I think it was another Keirsey book, can't remember for sure, but it broke each of the 16 types into 4 subsets apiece, depending on scores. *That* one absolutely nailed me dead on. Creepy.

I took the Spanish test and turned into a fieldmarshall. Apparently I am more extroverted in Spanish.

I re-did the test a few weeks ago. I first came out, 2 years ago, as an ENTP - one of the inventors, impatient, unorganized, rebellious. And that was me alright..

I now come out as an ISTP. Introverted, practical more than inventive, more organized, and needing to go off to do one's thing alone sometimes. And that's definetely me now... so I think there's a lot of truth of the test, I was quite surprised that it had noted the change in me!

I feel that I'll probably be this type for some time, as it just feels right and natural and I'm less anxious - maybe because I'm just being myself and no longer ashamed to be self-indulgent sometimes.

I am an INTP, Architect, and found the test fairly accurate. I don't really see the test as a way to generalize people or to put them in boxes, but more of a way for people to understand each other. Maybe when I realize that Joe did something because he was worried about Suzie's feelings, I won't think him such a total moron, then again, I may still think him an idiot for behaving illogically, but that's another matter. I believe they use the 'careers' (Architect, Fieldmarshal, Mastermind) to describe the way they approach the world. I do not consider architecture as a career field, necessarily, but I do tend to see things by how they can benefit my current situation (alas, too many years of adventure gaming). Maybe this makes me opportunistic and uncaring, decide for yourself.
