So, what type are you?
Wand'rin star Started conversation Feb 28, 2000
Absolutely fascinating. Not at all what I expected. After wandering round the site and its offshoots,I find that I'm a fieldmarshall(!).I wish I'd known that years ago, as it's rather late to change careers now.
So, what type are you?
Boys and Cake Girl Posted Feb 28, 2000
well apparently I'm a mastermind with good organisational skills. I think it's a nice way of saying bossy. I have to go back now as my mum wants a go.
So, what type are you?
Scarp Posted Feb 28, 2000
I think they need another personality type: the Out Of Band. I got fed up with the stupidity of the questions halfway through and just answered the rest randomly (the result was Fieldmarshal(l) too). Last time I got asked to do a survey the person doing it gave up halfway because I was criticizing the questions instead of giving glib answers.
So, what type are you?
J'au-æmne Posted Feb 28, 2000
I'd like to know which type I am... I have variously been identified as INTJ, ENTJ, INTP...
I think this leaves me having a personality crisis!
So, what type are you?
Jimi X Posted Feb 28, 2000
My Temperament is Guardian : SJ
My variant temperament is Inspector : ISTJ
Apparently, that makes me a stodgy old conservative!
LOL!!

I'd say this serves to illustrate how difficult an individual human mind is to classify. Like all generalizations, there is some truth behind these labels, but more people tend to slip through the cracks than fit neatly in a category. For example, the link tells me I am an 'INFP', but upon reading the criteria descriptions, I found that the only one that was definitive was the 'P' (and maybe the 'N'). The others could really go either way.
In short, why classify? I am a unique human mind.

Hmm... I'll share my score:
Details of questionaire:
Reserved (Introverted) = 10/10, F: Friendly (Tender-minded) = 10/10
Your score of each temperament was: (lower number meaning preferred)
NT = 43; NF = 32; SJ = 28; SP = 19;
Whatever that means

Idealist NF
Healer INFP
I'll have to go back and re-read all the gubbins about what it means!
So, what type are you?
J'au-æmne Posted Feb 28, 2000
Having retaken the test, I come out INTJ again... Mastermind. make of *that* what you will!
So, what type are you?
Phil Posted Feb 28, 2000
Suppose that means you're certainly NT, and most likely introverted and judging, but those characteristcs are the more changing ones dependent on mood etc I guess. Suppose this is why you get two things the NT bit and the I/E J/P bit as well.
As was said earlier, we're all unique, so are generalisations really correct? (NO)
So, what type are you?
J'au-æmne Posted Feb 28, 2000
Quite.
If I'm INTJ, though, apparently I'm not general... about 1% of the population are like me?
But I guess it should only be viewed as a *very* general guide...

What a load of old pants!
Funny how all of the possible outcomes were in some way inspirational
I didn't notice Clerk, Traffic warden or Petrol pump attendant
Could it be that everyone says "wow I'm a healer/inventor/field marshall perhaps I should buy these books to justify my suddenly inflated ego".
I turned out to be an inventor, if the test was more realistic I would have come out as a cynic.

OK. Whatever.
My Temprement is Idealist NF. My Variant Temprement is Teacher ENFJ.
I' addicited to personality tests and have taken this one many times. I always get the same results. This time I thought they would be different because I answered some questions differently than I have in the past (not just to see what happened, my views have changed). But, no it wasn't.
Why couldn't you be a mastermind Joanna? After all, you are a successful buisness owner. That reminds me, I'm hungry.

I took it a hilw ago, I don't remember what i got for temperament but for the other I got Architect INFP (like Albert Einstein, so there!)

Dudemeister Posted Feb 29, 2000
I'm apparently a Mastermind too. Makes me think about changing the decor of the living room and making everything dark with a big black swivel chair in the middle. Or perhaps plonking bunch of little plastic pegs in an effort to deduce my opponents number.
Mind you I (we - involved my wife in decision intimately) just spent about 6 hrs looking for a house. This was after we analysed where we wanted to live, in what sort of place, agreed on criteria, price range etc. Found something that fits, made a deal, before someone else made a better one.
I also have been told by my wife that I have a commando approach to shopping. "What are we going to buy?", "How much?", "Where?", then plan the attack plan to get the goods puchased in the shortest time possible. I thought most guys were like this. Thats what I want, that's the price - Here's my credit card - Let's get out of here now!
Fits the description of INTJ from what I saw. Although I had enough self-doubt to wonder if I entered the answers properly, especially since some of the question were phrased in a very strange (what happened to English grammar?) and ambiguous way.
We normally don't go for holidays where you get to lie on the beach doing nothing. Perhaps we should.
Just do what I say, and everything will work out fine.
