I agree with you, there have been many good atheists. They are amungst the good the bad and the ugly in my book. Have you read the keys to the kingdom by AJ Kronnin (spelling?). the dilema there was with a RC priest who knew an atheist doctor who had devoted his life to the poor and died poor.
Who said anything about hell fire what I said is I do not know.

To anyone who might be interested, I've just completed some major additions to my "Failure of Christianity..." article. Just heaped several more logs onto my own hell fire.

Which map was that?
Argh!
Alon (aka Mr.Cynic) Posted Feb 22, 2000
I only just discovered the FFFF and it's over three weeks old! *sulks*
I'd love to be added to your list. As you may have noticed from my past 'lively' conversations at the Christian forums I passionately support this movement. Let the faithless prevail!!!
(Oh, and what about the title "Head of Protesting Devision")
Argh!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted Feb 22, 2000
But was I welcome?
I promise not to be nasty. it's only when I'm in bad moods y'see. They've done some really cruel things to me before...
Argh!
English Ben Posted Feb 23, 2000
I'd love to join - I've kept myself to praising atheist posts rather than arguing thus far, but in the future...
Could I be Officer for Militancy?
Argh!

Mike: I would certainly say you've managed to fail the personality test, so I guess you're in. However, try to be a bit more positive in this thing. If your intent is just to get even with xtians for all the stuff they've done to you, I'd prefer you didn't do it here.
Ben: everyone likes a little praise, so pull up your chair.
Everyone: what is the deal with this thing? Last time I had an article approved (admittedly, that was 3 months ago) it only sat in edited state on my homepage for a week...now my Atheism article has been languishing for over 3. Can anyone tell me what sort of lag ime I should be expecting? I figured we'd all be hurling logical mudballs at each other long before now.
Wait...yes
Alon (aka Mr.Cynic) Posted Feb 23, 2000
I constantly deal with newly approved entries (while writing Take5) and think the current wait for Approval is 15 weeks - it's been like that for ages! Rejection is slightly quicker and I estimate it to be a 10 week wait. Depressing figures but yes, the wait for approval is not falling. In early December 1999 the wait varied from 13 to 19 weeks with most entries waiting 15 weeks. The same applies now.
Wait...yes
Blatherskite the Mugwump - Bandwidth Bandit Posted Feb 23, 2000
The article has already been sub-edited, and appeared in its new form on my homepage. The lag time I was inquiring about is, how long does it stay in that limbo state nowadays, as it waits for that triumphant appearance on the hompage and debuts as an approved article? Last time an article did this for me, it was only in limbo for a week.
Oh
Alon (aka Mr.Cynic) Posted Feb 23, 2000
Oh - I see. I don't know. But anyway, I decided to conduct some fresh research and write a POST article about the depressing subject. I looked at the 11 recommended entries I've reviewed and discovered something interesting. Here are the stats: 4*15weeks, 3*16weeks, 1*18weeks & 3*39weeks! There must have been a lost bunch of entries that waited 39 weeks for approval - since May! The funny thing is, one of those entries was by Peta! This sounds like a fun article to write...

This forum is taking WAYY too long for me to load, and in the interest of our members who have even slower connections than my own, I request that we move this discussion on to the next forum.

speaking of shameless self promotion, kindly check out my new article folks; http://www.h2g2.com/A273557 it's a collection of quotes I thought were cool but some of them might help spruce up the 4F. I'm hoping to turn it into a forum for various cynical rantings if I can get a bit of traffic.
