I feel that this article has made the topic of owning a gerbil rather broad, our dear friend Engles seems to have missed a few points about the "small demons". For example: The Wheel, yes you know the wheel, it's the NordaTrak (R) of the rodent world, if your hampster or gerbil is without one, he is not really a gerbil or hampster. case closed Mr Engles buy the thing a wheel and he will shut up! Maybe.
If that doesn't work try those nice neon colored mazes, if he's still not quiet in there maybe he'll get lost and suffocate.
