I said I like cats, not cataracts!!

One of my ex hubbies father had cataracts & had them sorted with a half day stay in hospital, local anaesthetic at age around 80, they did one first, the other a few weeks later & he never needed glasses again.
I am due for an eye test myself on Thursday, i've been getting black spots at twilight syndrome, so reckon it's time to get it sorted, as others have said, it could be just age related, or glasses prescription needs changing....but apparently, a good optician can also detect a load of stuff about your general health from looking at the back of the eye blood vessels; so i reckon it's a nice, painless way of finding out what's going on generally.
As far ad i know, most eye ops these days are done using laser & it's unlikely you would feel a thing, so no general anaesthetic needed.
keep us posted as to how it goes.
