Don't mention Southampton to me! If it hadn't been for that pesky deflected goal yesterday, I might not have been looking at the Nationwide Division One table tonight in the pub planning next season's away trips. Ah well... 
You're right about my music journo career, though. I achieved a lifetime personal best recently by reviewing six concerts in 12 days for Music365. You start to think you must be doing something right when you get that many commissions.

In my "Melody Maker" days I actually did manage to pull that trick off on a couple of occasions - volunteering to review shows that were near to, and on the same day as, away matches I wanted to go to so that I could get expenses for most of the journey if not all of it.
Sadly, everything I've done for Music365 thus far has been in London. But who knows what might be possible in the future.
