I'm one of the assistant community editors here...aka <./>ACEs</.>. Hopefully you won't have quite as much to learn after you review my colleague Feisor's Hints & Links@ A719840.
There's alot of useful info there so take your time going over that & be sure to have a look around in the process, there's alot to see. Feisor provides a link to Spicing Up Your User Page, however you might also consult the Personal Space Workshop(@ A1123354 ). I think that makes a good follow-up or supplement to Spicing Up...
