The up key on my laptop has recently come off. How do I put it back on?

Keys are normally just press-fit... just put it in place and push.

If this doesn't work, make sure there's nothing broken underneath and nothing missing - if there is then 99.9% of the time you're b**gered and will either have to put up with it or buy a new keyboard (or attempt superglue)

I had the same problem with a laptop quite a few years back, in the end I managed to get some* of the keys to go back on, they just kinda 'clicked' back into place, but some of them the underlaying rubber bits on the membrane were just to knackered for the key to then work, and a coupl eof the keys I couldn't get to reattach as they'd lost bits which had I guess broken off; in those cases I just used to press the rubber bit on the membrane, think it was the insurt key and the arrow keys on mine which I had to do this on, but when the letter keys starting failing fast I just had to give up on the laptop; By that time it was pretty old and the cost of getting it repaired wasn't worth it as compaired to just buying a new machine

Now I know what to do next time that happens, as my laptop suffers from overuse...
