A Conversation for How do I...?
Why did the flag at the moon keep blowing?!?!?!?

My daughter , who lives in New York and is an overresponsable person and almost too "sane", visited me yesterday and told me without ány cocain, alcohol or sectarian mental poison in her brains, that she "slightly believes" the conspiracy that there has néver been a man at the moon!
"NASA néver gives an answer to questions A, B and C and néver permits anyone to visit a sepcific area in the desert".
I almost fainted.
I dó know, that there have been serious attempts in the White House to invent an imitation moon visit by Hollywood, in case it would all fail, but they didn't work that out, because the cover up would never work in the end.
And I know a movie in which the maker convinces the viewer, that the moon néver has been visited by man. But that producer máde that movie to show hów you can manipulate people by collecting parts of all kinds of interviews, movies, documentairies, etc. etc.
But there's one "small thing" that even stuck in mý mind; I just bought;"for all mankind" that shows pictures of man at the moon that have never been shown before;
"Why did that American flag at the moon keep blowing for at least 20 seconds after it was put in the soil? Seen with my own eyes now, and that has been seen all over the world.(..........)

The vibration of the insertion. It has a few wires in it to keep it unfurled.
Keep in mind also the real primitive nature of video technology at the time. The scan rate on that feed was almost as bad as an old security CCTV system.
Trust me, the contractors and suppliers who got loads of advertising from an association with the moonshots would have thrown a fit if the trips were faked.
Another good fact is that there were several more trips taken than were needed for a PR effort. The last few were so mundane that they elicited yawns from everyone, even the Russians.

So there was more then one trip to the moon.
That was not the reason for my posting, but I discovered, I didn't know how many times they went.
Now I think they were there about five or six times, or even more.
The best explanation I read about that moving flag is the idea, they they wanted the flag to really show and to uphold it, they put an iron rail in it with ringes.
Thanks for your reply anyhow.
Keep believing !

There were six visits, and the flags were also made with the billows sewn in. Notice they never wave, they just hang steady.

It's amazing how soon we forget what was once considered unforgettable.
Six trips, eh? I didn't remember that.

Six that landed Apollo 8 and 10 did orbits before Apollo 11 finally landed. Apollo 10 was of testing all aspects bar landing. Then of course Apollo 13 failed to land.
Jim Lovell was the unfortunate man you orbited the moon twice in 8 and 13 but never got to set foot on it.

I understand that six times a mission landed on the moon, while there were about 13 Apollo missions ?
Is that correct?

There were 17 Apollo missions, but 1-7 and 9 did not visit the moon.

Soooo.... How many pounds of junk did we leave on the moon?
There was the butt portion of each lander...
camera tripods... at least two rovers...
flags
plaques
and what did they do with the cat box?

On the other hand, the returning astronauts brought tonnes of moon rock back with them, which is now in laboratories all around the world. (And those laboratories have confirmed that this rock is like no rock they've ever tested (no, it doesn't have 'MOON' written in red letters all the way through it)).

"Leave it lay, I say. If 'e duz it often enuff, 'e'll 'ave steppin'g stones, then, won't 'e?"
