A Conversation for How do I...?

La a note to follow so.......

I am just reading the Salmon of Doubt and wondered if anyone has posted any suggestions for a better line than the above. As Douglas asked us to. I can't think of anything!

Not many people look at How do I? You should really post this in "Ask the h2g2 Community".

I think we need a campaign to resurrect 'How Do...' I've had some bloody good conversations on this forum.

Trouble is it has to end in an "o" sound to complete
the song

So, a needle pulling thread,
La, da da da da da da,
Te, a drink with jam and bread,
this will bring us back to doh, oh, oh, oh,................

Sad to know it I know.
Any better suggestions?

Hi, Gnomon.
I'm linked to this forum.
It can be very entertaining.
Unfortunately, in this particular case, I have no idea what's going on.

It's only just on-topic, but the Homer Simpson Doh-ray-mee is my favourite:

Doh, the stuff that buys me beer
Ray the guy who serves me beer
Me the guy who drinks the beer
Far a long way to get beer
So I'll have another beer
La-ger yes it's just like beer
Tea, no thanks I'm drinking beer
That will bring us back to
Beer, Beer, Beer, Beer

Tonsil revenge, the musical "Sound of Music" featured a wonderful song which taught the names of the 8 musical notes doh, ray, me, fa, soh, la, tee, doh in a song. It had lines like:

doh - a deer, a female deer

Unfortunately, the writers couldn't think of any meaning for the word "la", so the appropriate line for la was:

La, a note to follow so.

This was a complete cop-out. We are trying to come up with a suitable one. My latest attempt, given in the Ask h2g2 thread, is:

Lar, a gibbon on the go!

"La!" A note on the fridge, so?

LA, a half a Telly-Tubby name!
