You can find a friend by going to the search page (put XXX into the Search box at the top any page and click Search h2g2). Here you will find a "Find a Friend" section.
Medieval Man is Researcher U143939. You can go to his personal space at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U143939 but it looks like he hasn't been back since the dark times.
