A Conversation for Jimmy Page
The orchestration and the effects

Other than Jimmy Page's great production and orchestration skills, the man knows how to get the best sound from the instruments. Microphone placement, accoustics, no detail is too small.
His guitar playing is incredible, though the most memorable bit of wizardry has to be the *sound* he produced during "In the Evening." Not a note, not a chord, but somewhere in the realm of "how the heck does he do that?" Turns out to be the sound of the springs and strings when he released a fully pulled whammy-bar with the amps fully cranked.
One of the greatest, to be sure.
