A Conversation for Beer Bottles

The communists certainly appear to have the beer bottle situation sorted from the point of efficiency.
The Wests drink industry is dominated by marketing and product image, hence the need for differently shaped and coloured bottles. Widespread distribution makes returnable bottles unviable because the cost of collection and cleaning is greater than the cost of new bottles.
Another problem with returnable bottles is the risk that the bottle is contaiminated or flawed.
I run a bar in the City of London and am appalled at the way the Corporation of London make no effort to recycle the Tonnes of bottles that are disposed of every day by restaurants and bars.
I'll start looking for Russian beer from now on!
