A Conversation for Beer Bottles

Well, in fact, they are not in, the beer is in the bottle, not the other way around...
But here I am, going through the days new guide-entries on our favourite guide, when I come across two without comments. The third, however, regarding beer, has two forum-strings by the time I get here.
Why?
Because everybody, world-wide, understand, appreciates and takes interest in beer, that's why.
Awe-inspiring, isn't it?
Personally I find that the best redeeming feature of beer bottles, is that a majority of them contain beer!
Mind you, I am a resident of Denmark, the only nation (to my knowledge) where the usage of beer cans has been prohibited by the government for reasons best left not debated. So we get all our beer in bottles - or we import it ourselves (canned beer is not available in Danish stores) from Germany, where they sell Danish beer in German cans.
Beer is good, but logic is not always part of it.

Bottled beer is generally superior to canned beer, as the metal in the can tends to give the beer a metallic twang when you drink it. Hence why I only buy bottled beer.

Hmmm...
By now, beer in cans has become legal in Denmark. It started in June, 2002, and everybody ran out to buy canned beer. (Some say it feels better - more right - to sit in the sun with a beercan, rather than a beer-bottle.) But as it turned out, canned beers cost more than bottled ones, and after a news-flash.hype, the sales have plummeted downwards. Most people are back to either oure bottles beers or, as we can also have this in Denmark, beer in plastic-bottles.
(This is referred to as plock-beer, due to the sound it supposedly gives when two people propose a toast, hitting the beer-bottles against eachother.)
The best part about canned beer, is that nowadays we can have new brands in Denmark, brands that only export in cans.
Personally I am very happy to be able to buy Irish drought beer in cans with a pressure-capsule. Yummlicious!

P.S.
I've always been sligtly fascinated by this aspect of the Guide. Here I was, two years ago, posting to a guide-entry. And now, this much time having passed, somebody replies to my post. Fascinating! The Guide may be vast and many thigs burrow through it, but nothing is ever completely forgotten!

Well I was doing some research for something work-related (don't ask!) and thought I might as well research and read something I'm interested in, at the same time

What a brilliant idea!
I do that too. I'm a teacher and guess who often gets to pick topics, eh!?
