A Conversation for HOW DARE THEY CALL US YOUNG
Man I hate old people...;-)

Slumped on the pavement with one and a half mutilated legs, a sizeable hole in his rights hand, a vicious gash on his head leaking blood into his eyes, and a bullet in his bladder, Mike A began to see the light.
"Dance with the dead on my dreams,
Listen to their hallowed screams.
The dead have takem ny soul,
Temptations, lost all control..."
With a new motivation in his heart, Mike began to rise...

...Pausing only to read to entire conversation offline and realise he'd ignored some very important points.
Lisa-bass guitar is prety easy to pick up. I start strumming my friend's acoustic and it sounds -terrible-! But practising the G Major (I think) arppegio over and over again, it was quite easy. And an ampliphied bass sounds -so- sexy.
Courtesy-I nearly blew a gasket when I read that...you know Kerry King of Slayer! Are you taking the f***ing piss???? That is crazy! I am overwhelmed! This is now the second person I know on h2g2 that knows a celebrity (Sporkulous knowing Dom Deluise). So, in the band you have King, Harraman (or whatever) and Araya. Who's the other one? And what's the new album called?
Gwennie-Do you remember Up The Sound? A compilation released in 1972. I have a copy that my dad bought in Canada in, hey, 1972! It features the big names of '67-'72. Eric Clapton, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek And The Dominoes, Uriah Heep, Focus, The Bee Gees etc. As you can guess it had a bias towards Clapton which isn't unreasonable .
Dad also has a good load of LPs. V valuable. But most not v nice .

I've done the OneList name <--> H2G2 name mapping for you at http://www.larkfarm.com/h2g2.htm .
And I'm happy to see you lot are only pissed off at grown-ups. I may be a doddering old fart, but I'm happy to say I'm not a grown-up and have no intention of becoming one.

I really need to put that link somewhere permanent, where I can get to it easily. Like on my homepage. Yes, I think I will.
Though I noticed you haven't filled out Lisa's stats yet.
Heh, the subject line. Looking at all the 'old people' (who are still young at heart) it got me wondering if it was such a good idea to have that blazing away at the top of every message. But it seems to be causing no harm. Nice.

No, I was actually 14 in 1972. (Ah, what a summer.......drifts of in haze filled memories.....) Where was I?
Oh yes! You'd freaked at what came into the Red Cross charity shop where I work as a volunteer, as a donation yesterday. We had two huge boxes of LPs and 12" singles of stuff going right back to the early '70s, including Eric Clapton, Tangerine Dream and more! I would have liked to have purchased the lot. Every record was in a plastic cover and in immaculate conditiion. Fortunately, we have a record collector who buys this sort of stuff off us and he's coming to pick it up next week and has promised that what ever he gets at auction, we'll get 50%.
How are the injuries now - do you still need a doctor or did Sooty's oofle dust help?

I wasn't 100% sure it was this Lisa (there are several running around the Guide). Now that you've spilled the beans, I shall go off and record the information
You don't get to be THIS old without developing a sense of humor!

I'm going to find this record collecter and put an axe in his head.
Only joking .
My dad has an LP with Layla on the A-side and Wonderful Tonight (from the Just One Night album) on the B-side. Odd combo or what? And in Plymouth, I have passed over the opportunity to buy Only You Know And I Know (Delaney And Bonnie) and the single of Clapton's Holy Mother. Thinking about it now I'm thinking "Mike you freak!"
Oh well, plenty more where they came from.

I'll provide you with the axe! And, even better, I'm going to give you a hand. I have more than one axe available

Mike -
Yep I drink with Kerry about every other week. I hang out at the bar that he does. I am friends with the bartender and he is also the Slayer bartender when they go on the road. So I just sort of hang with him and have fun.
The new alblum (about a year old) is Diabolis Musica - very cool. They are actually going into the studio to start a new alblum soon.

*hmph*
They get to know the celebrities and I don't.
That's funky. My friend'll cack himself when he heears this. I can say to him "I know someone who knows Kerry King of Slayer and you don't!"
Like I said up there, in Slayer you have King, Araya and Hanneman. Who's the other one? And what instruments do they play? And what are their full names?

Hello again.
I'm bored.
And my dad called my pile of chocolate crap. So I'm going to sulk.
I don't know why I'm telling you this, it's really irrelevant, but that's not the point, or maybe it is but crrently i don't care.

Mike A. - Honestly I don't know the last names off the top of my head, or all the members for that matter. I know Kerry and I know he plays lead. Now if you ask me about Metallica, well that's a different story
Lisa - when you say chocolate, do you mean actual chocolate or is this slang?

You actually have a PILE of chocolate? Can I come and visit you? Your dad will be grateful, because after my visit the pile will have disappeared! ))
