Ok so I was reading yesterday Hansard online I just had to tell you all this.
Lembit Öpik the Lib Dem spokesman for amongst other things Wales was making a speech. He started on how the Lib Dems were the only party with 100% of their Welsh MPs in the chamber. Hywel Williams of Plaid Cymru said that one of their two missing MPS 'had to travel back to his constituency because of the weather conditions'.
Lembit come back with
'The implication, as I reflect on our relative destinations, is that Plaid Cymru Members suffer worse weather conditions than the rest of us. I wish them all speed to get home. For the record—I know that irony does not translate well in Hansard—I stress that I meant those comments jocularly. I also feel that I am particularly well qualified to discuss the weather in Wales'
