Ok I have a job interview next Thursday. Hopefully this time I'll escape the mundane and boring and get into something that really will inspire me.

Well that's it out of the way.
Having to critique a piece of literature that was produced by one of the interviewers was hard. But I didn't hold back and on the way out he asked would I mind producing his next one so obviously that was what they were looking for someone who wasn't afraid to throw punches and tread carefully to avoid breaking eggs.
As for the rest of the interview I gave everything I had to it. Eveen my throat went dry and there was no water on the table. I know my enthusiasm came across, I know my vision and dynamism came across, I know that my experience of negotiation to get a result came across. I just hope I did enough.
Either way I'll find out next week.

Reminds me of an interview I had at one of my newspapers. They try to simulate deadline stress by making you think of your feet while shouting weird facts that may or may not have anything to do with the story they're talking about.
At some point in the interview I told one of the interviewers to shut up so I could hear what one of the other ones was saying. They stopped right there and told me I was hired.
Apparently, anyone with enough guts to tell their future boss to shut up during a job interview has enough guts to be a reporter on their staff...
