Guildford - the truth
Rt. Rev. Lesley Gentle Started conversation Nov 8, 2002
Having spent 6 months in Guildford, I feel compelled to tell the truth about the place.
It is the most frightfully dull, up its own a**e town in England. Fact. The people are generally well off and very snooty and dull. The kids have too much money and buy disgusting cars, meanwhile they believe that Guildford is the centre of the Universe. Young people only enjoy living in Guildford if they have no experience of just about anywhere else in the country. It has 3 useless nightclubs playing pap, only catering for the most thoughtless and unimaginative people on this planet.
I cannot convey quite how dull Guildford is, and I'd recommend anybody living there who doesn't have a mortgage to tie them there gets the hell away and opens their eyes to how exciting life can be away from comfortable, dependable places like Guildford. Neither quaint nor grotty, Guildford is unspeakably dull.
