Well, I was a bit bored just now, so I decided to look at some other researcher homepages. Actually, I also wanted to see whether the researcher's homepage looked any different if someone had replied to one of their Guide entries. Too lazy to just find a Guide entry which people had been talking about and then go to that researcher's homepage, I decided to just change the numbers in my URL and get other researcher's pseudo-randomly. Actually, not randomly at all. I thought perhaps there was some weird method to the assignation of numbers so I decided to look at homepages which had the same number as mine, mod 9. I counted down from my number, subtracting nine each time, and in the 5 or so pages I visited only one had anything on their page, so I posted to his forum. I've decided I'll continue touring through the researchers in this way next time I'm bored... so if your number has the same remainder when divided by nine as mine has, make sure your h2g2 homepage has some interesting stuff on it for me to look at.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
