A huge computer gamer? *grin* You should lay off the pies, then.
A site at planetquake... cor... the genuine article, eh? I shall have to drop by at some point.
UT and Quake 3... having recently obtained both of them, I can confidently say that I have no idea which is best. In fact, I've been playing UT most, due to my Voodoo 3 drivers not being up to scratch and not being all that happy with Quake 3.
Still, I'm willing to say that both are games worth having.
On the other hand, unless you've got a home LAN (like I have *grin*) and someone to play against, I wouldn't really recommend getting either... get System Shock 2 instead, an absolutely *amazing* game which has caused me to have to limit the time I spend playing it in the interests of my eyes not hurting all the time.
There's a demo of SS2 for download if you scout around a bit, so you can be immensely impressed before you buy! *grin*
I imagine that the best way to write a review would be to go to your home page and choose 'new guide entry', and write it as a whole new page... then post a message here so that it can be linked to the main page. Don't quote me on that, though.

I've posted a review of Tribes, it's at http://www.h2g2.com/A242010 - hope you like it, it's just a fairly rough piece really so I'd welcome any suggestions about changes/additions.

Cheers for the reviews guys. 26199 I thought your review seemed fairly in depth and very well done, at the moment I can't think of anything to add to it. TimJ your review of doom is wicked, you must really be a fanatic.
Alaska I like your idea for the page, but I don't think I can really change it at the moment. The whole reason I started it was becuase in one forum someone was saying they couldn't find anything about Q3 so I thought this would be a good way to get peoples opnions on games so that others can find out about them. Nice logo on your page Alaska, thats the kind of thing I need here I think as the title for my page sucks a bit. I welcome any help with the page.

I've been playing Thief - The Dark Project to death lately. If no-one else has put their hand up about it, I'll do a review.

Excellent, yet another one I forgot when I started this page. Yep you can review that one if you want. I would appreciate it if you made the review a guide entry rather than dropping it in this forum, then you can just give me the link to it.

It might be interesting to mention that System Shock 2 uses the same engine as Thief: The Dark project...
I'll review System Shock 2 as soon as I finish it and get a few hours sleep

I can't get hold of Thief for love or money around here, everywhere is out of stock. The good news is that when it is expected back in it'll be the Gold edition, I think it's got a couple of extra bits, and will only cost £10

System Shock 2 review's done... I completed it today, amazing game. Anyway, here's the url:

I don't have much information about the original System Shock, so if anybody'd like to post something about it to the forum, I'll add it in.

Thankx Krunchy!
What do you reckon about adding a tactics section? I dont want to turn h2g2 into a big gaming page, but it could still be cool

Krunchy Posted Jan 9, 2000
I don't think one page is gonna do any harm. It could be useful for other games as many of the tactics are still relevant for games such as quake. Cheers for all the reviews guys, I'll put them up on the page in a minute!

Okay, I've finally written a review for Zork One. Sorry it took so long. Anyway, you can find it at http://www.h2g2.com/A263639. I wanted to put the whole trilogy on one page, but my computer kept kicking me off the Internet for being 'idle.'

Thanx for the review of Zork One, I've put it up on the page, I should be adding a few more reviews myself soon, but I just been too busy to do it recently!

S'alright. I'll get down to all fo the Zork games eventually. Maybe even all of the Infocom ones. Oh, and no I can't cut and paste. I've tried it, but my computer refuses to comply. Sometimes I wonder if Bill Gates is out to get me. But then again, he retired, so it can't be *entirely* his fault. I'll get to work on Zork 2.

Odd....
Try Ctrl-C + Ctrl V, that is *supposed* to work for every aplication
Alternativly you can load the entry addition page, go offline, and when you are done connect again

That is weird, I use cut and paste all the time, and it works just fine for me. What browser are you using?
