My Space formats in DNA

So I signed up as part of Talk Buffy, first of all. My Space there is purple. Or if I go to Collective my space there is very square and bluish. If I use h2g2 there are a few different ways my space can look. But why are they different and why/how are they connected to each other? Are they all GuideML? I'm just confused.

You seem to be seeing different colours than I do. To me the cult (Talk Buffy) area is dark red and collective a mix of blue, dull green and brown. They are dna sites with their own skins. These are constructed from CSS file etc definitions of how they should look (more HTML/XML than GuideML). The hub is very plain but getwriting is very purple with brown bits. h2g2, being older, has acquired several skins - classic goo (dark blue with gooey bits), alabaster (white with jade and orange), brunel (white with red, green or blue panels with rivets) and plain (white or blue with minimal graphics). Articles are normally just shown on one site, but your personal space gets to be shown on each site differently as you can use more that one site.
