The picture you see before you is that of a virgin Saxon girl, kidnapped by the Norsemen that invaded her homeland. Taken back to their forboding homes, she was ravished and impaled on a rather fetching spike.
*Normal voice*
That's a photo of Bathory frontman Quorthon, and I'm sure he'd be flattered if he heard that you thought he was a girl.
The photo was taken in the mid-80s, when Bathory was still in it's youth. I'm not sure if it's a promo shot or not, but either way it's Quorthon playing up to his image

I suck at captioon competitions. That lyric is my favourite from Bathory, and seemed appropriate for Quorthon's pained expression. Well, it does, doesn't it?
