What a lovely variety of languages being spoken in this forum!
Just how did Welsh turn into Russian though? I only have two Welsh phrases (excuse the spelling) - 'Borada' and 'Cachy Fach'. I'll let someone else translate!
Russian... hmmm... I always did wonder how to write it phonetically in English. I do love the word/phrase 'pojhalusta' though - can make an entire conversation out of it!
Anyone who passed a Russian 'A' level has my immediate admiration.

The Bank Holiday "Perfect Day" multi-national link up was ruined by the Caerdydd contribution being in Welsh. (I hope Lou Reed sues.)
The Scots and Irish had the good manners not to mess with the composer's original.

Just a typo.
"Bored" should read "Bore da" a Welsh greeting "Good morning".
No real Welsh person would be deliberately rude, apart from Max Boyce who does it for money, I'm told.

You can have 'virtual' Welsh friends on H2G2 - me for instance!
And I can tell you that the explantion is not quite right as it should be "Twll Tîn Bob Sais" where 'tîn' means 'arse'.
2) Just what did I say in this forum to spark of such an undeserved insult?
It is not aimed directly at you, of course, and you have not done anything as an individual to deserve it (at least, not to my knowledge!). However, I'm afraid that England as a country (or at least it's leaders) have done quite a number of bad things to Wales over many centuries and this has resulted in a little 'bad feeling' from time to time, to say the least.
Please note it is normally used in a humourous context.

Well hello Huw. Your pleasant post has reaffirmed my faith in the Welsh. I think livzy had the humour in previous comments well and truly hidden between the lines. I might even visit Tenby next month instead of the Isle of Wight.

To go back to the forum title- Llanfair PG was just as boring as ever on Sunday when I went through on my way to and from work. I'm English and live and work in Wales but Llanfair PG and Ynys Mon in general are always boring ( and flat) even though the mainland is beautiful- my friend reckons it should be concreted over (Anglesey/Ynys Mon that is) and all the unappreciative of the beauty of the country should live in the rest of Wales.

it means the church of St. Mary near the white hazel tree near the whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio near the red cave ... more or less
