Yeah, but who wants to spend the money to get their ACEs tattoo removed?

SEF Posted Jul 25, 2003
Even as a joke it's in poor taste Abi (see F27584?thread=298460 for starters) and otherwise it's a lie as many people here know.
How quickly the staff like to forget their bad decisions and hope everyone else will. Iraq anyone? Mentioning it is not a censorable offence at the moment...

SEF
Uncle Heavy and I are good friends off site. He would be aware that I was joking.
Thank you for pointing out that, in your opinion, all my decisions are bad ones. Please do not aim your vitriol at me.
Have a good weekend.

on a serious note: god almighty SEF calm down. the reason h2g2 is going a bit weird at the moment is cos people like you take special time out of your days to have a go at blameless italics. leave off them for crying out loud.

Dear BBC, I wish to complain in the strongest possible terms. Yours etc, Field Marshall Sir William Bumface (Ret'd).

"all my decisions are bad ones"
I didn't say all and I didn't say specifically yours, Abi. The Iraq example specifically contradicts that interpretation since it was a "high-up" BBC staff edict. It's odd that so many people misrepresent what other people have said round here - especially when the original words are usually still visible for confirmation.

Uncle Heavy [sic] Posted Jul 25, 2003
what the b******s does this even have to do with iraq? absolutely nothing. but you rather pointedly compared this flippant and harmless conversation to a 'bad decision' made by the italics, with only abi in the thread. thats not fair, and its not very polite.

Would everyone please take it down a notch? This was a site supposed to encourage different opinions and personalities, so calm down.
You've all made your point, and each of you is a bit right. None owns the truth.

I agree. I mean, I'm all for healthy discussion, but this is just arguing and it might be upsetting to some of the more sensitive members of the community, like me *sniff*
And if the Aces can't even get along, then what hope do we have of creating a friendly community for everyone eh?!
So can't you all just apologise, or shake hands, or agree to disagree or *something*?!
