Oh really? Please elaborate?

No, I assure you Caine. The war is off.
Wars are nasty, anti-social things, they upset a lot of people and we're not into that here. If you really want a war, try someplace else, I'm sure you'll find somewhere *else* on the net that'll be really very interested.
Have a cupcake instead.

Yes wars may upset a lot of people, but they can be fun.
I'd also like to point out that I have no idea what we are talking about here since the page in question no longer exists. I'd like to read it actually just out of interest.
And although wars may upset people, nothing that you do in life is gonna please everyone. Why offend the minority, when you can offend the majority and have a damn good time while doing it, too?
Anyway just a few thoughts there.
Can I have a cupcake, too?

"Why offend the minority, when you can offend the majority and have a damn good time while doing it, too?"
That is a very familiar quote, it is either one of those that people post here and there and others pick up on, or it's been posted to one of my conversations before and I remember it.........
Now let me see.......... How are the huge Marshall Stacks, oh anonymous researcher 170755?
I think you just lost the first battle, the war is destined to go the same way. I'm sure the ACEs will offer acceptable terms of surrender.

Huge Marshall stacks? Er excuse e but I'm a drummer not a guitarist. Couldn't play a guitar if I tried! But I can beat the hell out of my drum kit though.
And that quote I picked up out of a book about 4 years ago. It was by some philosipher or something I think, I'm not too sure because that quote is one of the few things that I actually remember about the book.
Anyway, I'm not really a supporter of either side of this war, seeing as I know nothing about either side really! I'm more an outside spectator who likes to watch a bit of violence every now and again. Except that most of the stuff I watch is fake, but it's still violent.

How can you tell when there's a drummer at the door?

The knocking starts getting faster, yes yes yes. Drummer jokes, I've heard them all.
What do coffee and Ginger Baker have in common?

They both support Cream....

OK that's kinda ruined the joke now. Not that it's funny really, but I thought that it was probably the only one you hadn't heard before. Damn.

peta, the war is not really a war, it is to promote freedom of speech which is our right. We don't mean too be offensive, but sometimes the only way to get a point across is to be slighty offensive, it helps to make the point more memorable.
i cannot apolgize enough for any offensive and i hope that people i have offended can forgive Marc and my rather blunt methods.

Researcher 170755 Posted Mar 30, 2001
Well I forgive you Caine and I'll forgive Marc too. Not that you've offended me or anything. Well not yet, anyway.
And I agree completely. Being offensive can make the point more memorable.

Caine the Fallen Angel Posted Mar 31, 2001
thanks for agreeing
but it's this site's moderation that bugs me the most

Peta Posted Mar 31, 2001
Idon't mind you 'protesting' about moderation. But I do mind you picking on the ACEs. They have nothing whatsoever to do with moderation, so it's unfair to pick on them. Okay?

Ah. Day by day this is slowly starting to make more sense to me.
So Caine is the war still on?

Well, first I meant that she used to babysit for his children, not actually him! And, I think it was about 1973, roughly.
