Hi VICCY
I noticed the big void in here, and guess you'll want to do something useful with it. Do you know how to use HTML?

*blushes in confusion*
Erm...not really. I'd be very grateful if you could give me a hand...
And thankyou for being the first to fill my void! *smiles sweetly*

Oops, you don't... well that will make it a bit harder at first.
We will have to figure out a way for you to learn a bit about HTML, and in the meantime you could start by just telling a bit about yourself and where you come from, using plain text.
This can be done by clicking the "edit page" link to the left of your intro-page, and then making sure that the field "plain text" is ticked. Then you can type some text in the box, and press "update introduction".
There is another problem: since you don't know much about HTML, you probably don't have a homepage anywhere else on the web either. Hence you don't have a location (outside your computer) where pictures etc. can be stored for use in your Void. Am I right?

Too true my sweet
I like these though!
Hmm, how much is it wise for a girl to say about herself? You never know 'who' might read it!
*smiles sweetly, and flutters eyelashes at the skeleton...no... 'guide' in her closet*

*a messy heap of bones suddenly appears, rises up to form a complete skeleton, bones rattle*
Hi Sweet VICCY
You can safely use the , , , and in a plain text document, just like in the forums. So that will not be a problem.
What's safe to say about yourself? Hmm, don't give your home address, your breast-waist-hips measurements or your sexual appetite, and you're safe enough, I think (Unless you like to show off ofcourse ). The rest... well, it doesn't hurt to tell where you come from, what you do for a living, or what you'd *like* to do. Such kind of things.
Or perhaps you could tell a few nice things abut the neighbourhood where you grew up, or where you currently live, provided you can think of something interesting to tell. It's all rather safe, but may be interesting for others. Such material may even be useful for a future "Approved Guide-Entry".
You see, there's a lot that you could already try, and it's your own decision what exactly your going to do.
*bones rattle, the skeleton collapses into a messy heap and vanishes into thin air*
Am I interupting?

Just stopping by to say hello and tip my hat! And don't feel bad about not knowing HTML, I don't either. I've found out a bit about GuideML which seems easy enough. I've even managed to get a hold of enough web space somewhere else to store some pictures and upload them here without any HTML at all! So don't feel bad, Viccy! We'll always love you!

*looks a little startled*
Spooky...but my own personal 'spirit guide'...
Hmmmmmmmmm...well they say a picture paints a thousand words...so I will just have to find a 'suitable' picture to show you...

Don't you worry, Viccy. You will pick up GuideML soon enough
The only reason I didn't throw you on top of that immediately, was to give you time to get comfortable with the way the Guide works. GuideML and HTML have lots in common, and if you know one of them, the other is very simple, *provided* you have enough time to study it!
Now you've had some time, you might want to take a look at http://www.h2g2.com/A187229 , which is the GuideML Clinic, created by Bruce.
When you feel the need for pictures, you'll need some space where you can store them, and the Clinic will also give you some advise about that. You'll find that using the smiley's and fishies will be a little more complicated in GuideML than it is in plain text, though!

Hi boys! Thanks for dropping by...I just love entertaining! And all those sweet things you've been saying about me...it's enough to make a girl... *cheeks turn rosy pink*
I'll be sure to pop over and see Bruce when I need some of his personal assistance. In the meantime, I'll keeping hunting out a special picture to hang on my wall, and brighten my home. Feel free to drop by any time now.

Well, it is our pleasure to drop by the abode of such a beauty as yourself. Tell me, is Cider comfortable to wear?
Filling the Void :-)
Venus In Cornflowers Posted Nov 23, 1999
Absolutely lovely...all those golden bubbles, and the scent of apples. You must come and join me in a drop of cider some time Irving. If you've never tried it before, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Now, I must away to a higher realm. But my thoughts will be with you, my sweet.

Must be absolutely... hmmm... maybe "heavenly" is the wrong word when speaking of a Roman goddess... Olympian? Oh well. Must be wonderful (that word lacks the panache, though). I shall definately join you in a drop some time... sounds like more fun than I've had in too long!

It's not hopeless my sweet...I promise. Let's see what we can find to do in the way of fun...I've got a lovely cask of cider I was saving for a rainy day...perhaps that day has come...
