Cheese was, so I heard, first made by the wandering bedouin of the Middle-East. So say, they used to carry curds and whey in animal skins and sometimes it would be left in the sun too long and turn into cheese. They then refined the process and made it the scrumptious treat it now is. Incidentally, the first Jewish shop to sell such things was called "Cheeses of Nazereth".
