HeyGirl, it's me again.
Yeah, I know, new name. Why not.
You must be freezing out on the ice, take care okay.
Get in touch maybe, I (ah gee whiz) miss you. Cheers.

Hey, what the dilly, yo?

Great to hear from you! It is quite cold here, haven't been on the ice lately, though. I've been hanging around with my friends a lot lately. They aren't in the area very often. Things have been really slow here. Work should be getting busier soon, though. I'm going to start making desserts to sell to the country club. (Woo-hoo!) I'm going to start with a blueberry poppyseed cake. Sounds delicious, eh? How are things with you?

You know, I like tea with honey in it too.
I mean, how have you been? You look great!

My, it's been a while since I've been here. Sorry about that. I've just been so overwhelmed by the wonderful weather and all the gorgeous flowers in bloom, and I've only been on the computer long enough to check my email. I don't really know why I'm enjoying the flowers so much more this year than ever before. I just can't get enough of it.

I'm going to be planting an herb garden this year. I'm waiting until the end of April, though. It's still been quite chilly at night.

How is everything with you? Is your 42nd year treating you well so far? I noticed you've become an ace. Congratulations! Are you enjoying it? I think I'm going to have some tea. A'bientot!

How do you do your tea?
and how do you take it?

Good to hear you are out and about
enjoying these brisk April days
(and just plain cold nights).
The smell and spell of hyacinth
was especially potent this Sunday,
trapped I think and pressed
under the heavy grey flannel clouds.
At church I was briefly introduced
to a girl named Gidget.
Cute name I've always thought.
Made me smile.

Yes they named me an ace,
it's kind of a funny story.

Keep in touch, I've been writing, it's okay I think.

I went to elementary school with a guy named Wayne. I don't know what made me think of that all of a sudden. He was a weird kid.

I have two more weeks until I can put my herbs out into the garden. I'd like to put them out sooner, but on the advice of my mother, who is a gardening expert, I'm going to wait until May. My only concern is that the plants are getting too big for the containers they're in. The Pennyroyal is spreading everywhere. It smells wonderful, but I think it's covering the Thyme, so it's not getting enough sun.

So, was this girl's name really Gidget, or was it just a nickname? I thought of naming one of my children (when I eventually have them) Gidget, but then I decided not to. I really like the name Yvette, though.

I take my tea with about 2 teaspoons of honey, even though the packaging says it should be taken straight. Green tea with mint is incredibly good. I can't find it anywhere, thoguh. I'll have to ask the woman I work with where she bought it.

I apologise for rambling a bit. Especially after you wrote me such a lovely message. Have I ever told you how beautifully you write?

Answering your question, she looked like a Gidget I guess. You know which male names I like, I've been using them. Wayne was always my Dad but he's gone now so I'm using it more now, I am usually called Craig which I like but not always and never on a name tag because I find it confusing when people use it like they know me. Are you a real Gidget? Female names are trickier, they always make me think.

No, I'm not really a Gidget. I do like the name, though. People also call me Yvette, Jessica, and sometimes Isobel, and my family nickname is Kuk. (Don't ask...it's a long story, dating back to when I was about 10.) My sister's college friends, upon hearing her call me Kuk, started calling me cock. As you can probably imagine, I was none too happy about that.

I used to work with a guy named Craig. I was 17, and he was 26, and for some reason everyone thought we were having an affair. I think it was because we were such good friends. I still can't understand why it was so hard for people to accept our friendship.

I went to see Bug (my sister) today. She moved into a new apartment 2-3 weeks ago, and she finally has all her furniture moved in. It's a really nice place. She shares it with a girl she graduated from college with. We watched the Penguins/Caps hockey game. It was tied 2-2 in the 3rd period with only a few minutes left, and the Caps scored. It was quite disappointing.

Out of curiosity, do have ICQ? I think it would be nice to be able to have a real conversation with you sometime.
