Today is Sunday, May 9th, 2004. I think that we all know what the importance of this day is. If you forgot, better go buy a card.
That's right. Today, I want to honor someone who's been around for a long time, and has always been there for me. Someone very special, someone without whom the world just wouldn't be the same.
As I'm sure you've all guessed by now, today is the 107th birthday of Bingo, the dog on the Cracker Jack boxes.
What would we do without the cheery face of Bingo on those boxes? For the past 107 years, he's just been a delight to behold. That's 749 in dog years, meaning that in just a seventh of a year from now he'll be an even 750. This is a rarity, my friends. Even in the Old Testament, people had trouble getting past 600 without the strictest of diet and excercise programs.
So Bingo, wherever you are, thanks. Thanks alot. Good dog.
Oh, and happy mother's day, too. Hi, mom!
