Farewell, Adventurer

There aren't many real-life adventurers left anymore, so it's always sad when one of them passes away.
Steve Irwin was one of the best. He could wrestle alligators, outmaneuver snakes, and turned himself into the flamboyant type of character that most would-be adventurers wish they would be.
It's sad to see him pass away.
On the one hand, it's cool that he died while making a nature documentary. If you have to die, might as well do it while you're in your element.
On the other hand, I don't think that a sting ray should've had the honor of doing him in. The only "fitting" end I can think of would be while trapped in Jurassic Park or in a mission against Godzilla. But since neither of those exist, I can't think of a suitable end.
Maybe a hippo. That would've been interesting on many levels.
Regardless, I'm terribly upset that he's dead. Best wishes to his family, and here's to whatever fantastic lizards that need hunting up in Heaven.

The world of animal-tainment has truely lost someone great.
But a hippo though? A bit messy. My friend suggested he should have been swallowed whole by a whale in suitably epic style.

I was suggesting Hippo because they're notorious for upstaging the crocodiles in the Nile. But yeah, swallowed whole by a whale....that'd be really dramatic.
We couldn't even be sure that he was dead! He might take the chance to go into hiding, and resurface about a year later after becoming involved in lots of various instances of espionage and international intrigue.
Much better than a hippo.

Could you really imagine Steve Irwin as an international superspy though?..... Well ok yes you could, but only if he was the next austin powers. Otherwise people would point at him in the street and say, "Hey! Zat Steve Irwyn vat a guy. Hey! He haz zolen ze microfilm, get him!"

I don't think he'd be a spy, I just think that he would wind up on the hit list of spies from at least six different nations, all due to a wacky misunderstanding. Somehow he always manages to slip out of their grasp.

Ah, much falling of prats and cases of briefs being shunted around. Ive seen it happen before. Bill Murray was in it so it must be true.
