So a person who doesn't even qualify as a celebrity may or may not have left an airplane against her will.
Can you say "Slow News Day"?
This is one of my problems with how media operates these days, it plays everything up to at least the point of "talking point." This is only news because the media chooses for it to be so. You might as well run a news report saying "Rick Thompson, The pastor of the Third Church Of Christ in Hoboken* promptly left a movie theater when it was revealed that the tickets he bought online had expired the day before. 'We're all dissapointed,' said Rick. 'But I think that, in the end, I'll eventually get to see that movie.'"
I mean, for crying out loud! This is the second least-informative news story I've ever seen (six years ago there was a news story that was previewed with the line "This deer is causing no problems." That sentence told me the story, so I didn't watch the report). People get off of airplanes all the time! Dissapointing airport service is a way of life! The report even makes a point of showing that nothing illegal happened!
My only question: why is the FBI involved? They know that nothing illegal happened.
If the report asked the question of why the FBI was involved, then maybe they'd have news, or at least an editorial. But no, the FBI's presence is taken for granted WHEN IT'S THE ONLY UNUSUAL THING ABOUT THE STORY!
...I need to get into journalism...
