I recommend going to http://www.sluggy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2827 to hear some strange theories about a story called "Oceans Unmoving" in a webcomic. The "Timeless Space" world in this story is one of the most intriguing new takes on a reality with different laws of physics that I've ever seen, and it's so subtle that you barely notice it.

Oh, and if you'd prefer to read the fiction before you start thinking about science, just start reading at http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=050124 and read until you leave that story. The next story is in Chapter 46: Living Conditions, and involves a noticeably different set of characters. To continue the story that you finished, pass "Living Conditions" and "Torg Potter And The President From Arkansas" and go to "Oceans Unmoving 2" at http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=050919 to pick up the story (Oceans Unmoving 2 hasn't been finished yet. It's still in the prologue stages. But it involves Baba Yaga, for those interested in Russian Folklire (and let's face it, who isn't?))

So anyway, yeah....very VERY cool science fantasy AND an intelligent debate about rewriting the laws of physics to go with it.
