... of becoming an English teacher.
But out of seemingly nowhere, why....
This morning, during my writing workshop in my poetry class, I thought, "I need to be a poetry prof."
It'll keep me creatively challenged and engaged, right? I'll be around smart people, right?
So.... MAYBE.... I'd certainly rather be doing that than Wal*Mart and bartending.... one flaw in bartending is I have a hard time staying awake past nine pm.
Really weird to think about teaching. Not weird, though, to be thinking about teaching poetry. Teaching creative writing makes almost as much sense...
Hee hee.
Oh and life is GOOD.

You know Dragonfly - as I think back over all of my school years... my favorite and most memorable teachers all happened to be English Teachers! And I think you'd be an excellent English Teacher! They were all so creative, and really inspired me!

It was a beautiful fall day here also! It was in the 70's, and all of the trees have changed to brilliant yellows, rusts, crimsons, golds & browns. I just love fall!
Of course it's typically misty, cold and dreary here on Halloween. It's a rare Halloween here if you don't have to wear a coat over your costume... But hopefully this year it will at least not be raining!
My English teachers were the best! I had one in 7th grade that called us all either her little dudes, dudettes or turkeys... depending on if she was happy or angry with us! And my Senior English Teacher in Highschool was blind, she was so cool though! When you'd walk into the english room, she'd say "beautiful dress you have on today Michele, that blue really suits you", or "Did you see George Brett make that home run yesterday" or "I just love the yellow of the daffodills down by the gym". You'd forget she was blind! (she had "moles" she planted around the school, who fed her information about her students all day.! ) We studied 7 Shakespeae plays that year and wrote themes on all of them. I love Shakespear!
