... I have only eight more weeks of the school/paper regime, but.... blah!!! I'd like to, honestly, forget it.
Only eight more weeks!!! I can muddle through...
Looks like I'll get my Leave of Absence from Wal*Mart from possibly April 25-June 3rd. Which will be nice. It's quite possible that if the person my manager gets to replace me while I am gone works out, my little hiny will not be back in the department.
Which isn't especially bad, though not especially good. But. I need to be a freelance writer, anyway.
Oh and all that.
Well, let's just say.... although I'm pretty dern amazingly, stunningly happy in one aspect of my little life, I'm feeling pretty blah in most others.
Should-- need to-- move out.
Yeah... take the death grip off of my savings account and actually make some monthly payments on my own independence/peace of mind.
I think part of wot's 'appening to me is I'm running out of steam/motivation. And there is the senioritis. Would like to call it done and move on.
Now time for something completely different.... brekkie.

I'm feeling pretty much the same atm. I do love my degree but for a good long while I'd quite happily leave DUrham and get a job

As for working freelance, I understand that all of King Arthur's knights were freelance.

I've all ready proposed a story to a Denver paper.... That was almost a week and a half ago.... But the event's not til early June....
ANYWAY!!!
I'm doing better about the patience thing now... in fact, silly me's a little sad to think of leaving. At lunch I watched "Surprise by Design" with my friend Richard, and we criticised their ugly ugly job. One of the designers had an AWFUL sweater on..... the stripes did not line up, it had a zipper that went up to his chin, the zipper had a zip pull that was five inches of braided white and blue yarn....
It was SO MUCH fun. Cheered me right up. Richard and I are going to have a design show called "Pisces Design" because we are both Pisces.
And I just got a minor back massage from my other friend/co-worker here at the paper. He's a dj who loves me dearly because I actually try to go to events that he is dj-ing.

Let me get this straight (or at least not quite as crooked).
You massaged a miner's back, and his name was D.J.?

Eight weeks to go, do you have exams at the end of that?
So you are ready to move on and do new and exciting things, feeling impatient are we?
Can you make the most of your 8 weeks by starting new projects or ideas, might make it go by faster?
Anyway have a good time, whatever you decide to do with it!

I'm better about the whole 8 more weeks thing. I need the 8 weeks to plan.
I was wanting to do a writing residency in VA.
But what I really NEED to do is move out... Not a very healthy enviornment here. Yes, I'm loved and it's free.... but.
It was interesting.... yesterday the freewrite prompt was about traveling and abuot uprooting, moving...

Moving out could be a very exciting and motivating experience.
I think it would be worth the money.
Since there are no free lunches, you are probably paying in some way. Cheers to your New beginings whatever you decide!

Update: School not so bad any more.
I have a number of tasks, sure... but... I like being at the paper...
And I've been working on a parody of Dylan Thomas' "Do not go Gently into that Good Night" about Senioritis.
YAY!!!
