What is 101cd?
I've not heard of Dreamtheatre....

Sorry I'd rather put this http://www.101cd.com.
That was the only store where I could found the only album of Mirthrandir: For You The Old Woman. I've never heard anything played by this guys, but I've seen very impressive reviews of them, so I placed an order (so I can have at least one collection completed smiley - winkeye)...but that album seems to be dificult to find even for the stores.

Dreamtheater plays progressive rock. I've heard of them because it's drummer, guitarrist and keyboardist are the members of Liquid Tension Experiment, wich along with Tony Levin it's an excelent project group.
Never heard anything of Dreamtheater tough...that's why they are in my list of things to buy smiley - smiley

A woman I knew used to have an 8-Track, titled simply, "The Pearl" ... it had one particular song on it that wasn't on any of her other albums and I dearly wanted it. Unfortunately I couldn't find the album, and by the time I'd found an 8-track/cassette combo that worked, someone had hoisted her tape. *sigh*

No Steve Vai? Zappa taught him a lot of good licks and then Vai went solo and hit it pretty big.

I never really got into Steve Vai! He was just a bit too full on....smiley - smiley
Amazing guitarist but I thought he was too technical and lacked feeling...

Surfing with the alien was by Joe Satriani. Now HE could play... and had feeling. Saw him live not so long ago, playing with Michael Schenker, and Uri Jon Roth. Amazing show. smiley - bigeyes

smiley - smiley Yes Rush are cool!
I agree!

Before I turned 18 I was totally into 60's and 70's music, infact I still am!
Strange considering most people my age probably haven't heard of Jethro Tull, Santana or Rush!!
The Doors were a big favorite when I was young, Jim Morrison inspired me to write poetry which ended up becoming songwriting! That was when I was about 13!
