with a capital S too
oh well, better some reaction than no reaction at all

an apple tree Posted Oct 27, 1999
uppercase S reactions happen to be my highest form of reaction and whether or not you were impressed, i put a hell of alot of effort into that reaction and regard it as one of my best yet

oh no..now a kiwi is beating me in the witty reply
game as well, is there no end to it
Being English, I'm now in the awkward position of
having to support France as the northern hemisphere
last hope.

Spanner Posted Oct 28, 1999
oh i think last hope is a good choice of words. not that i think we're necessarily going to win.
wouldn't have thought it was very natural for the english to support the french - go on support the all blacks or the aussies (unless that nasty briel boy is still playing for them) you know you want to.

hmm...in many ways you are right, but theres this northern hemi-sphere vs southern thing.
And the french do play such pretty rugby..I've got till saturday to decide

Spanner Posted Oct 28, 1999
tell you what - you back the french, i'll back the all blacks, and then between us we've got it covered - the french could actually take it if mehrts isn't fit and tony brown has a shocker and the french play with ture gallic flair - i wouldn't put anything past them, they pull out all the stops when the pressure's on.

O.K, I'll support the french (i cant believe I just said that!)
will you watch it?
(will it be some ungodly hour your time?)
shadows
Spanner Posted Oct 29, 1999
yep to the ungodly hour - maybe to the watching it - i've got exams all next week and really need to save up all my waking hours to drag my studies back from the deep dark depths of despair.

your right, there will be other world cups
and the all blacks will always get to the semi finals.
Get yourself sorted for your exams
Good luck

Spanner Posted Oct 30, 1999
oh i don't know that the all blacks will always get to the semi finals - but the semi finals won't always be five hours before my next exam. thanks for the luck - and sorry about the icq thing, i'm still working out how to work it and i can't find you!
