Forgive me, for I have been seduced by the dark side of the force

Or at least the lighter side of it. Besides I have birthday money to spend.
I've pre-ordered myself a PSP. Yeah I know they've been available in the UK since yesterday, but the limited edition white one isn't for the foreseeable future and I dare to be different. When that comes out in Japan on the 15th, mine should be winging its merry way over to Blighty. Got an absolute bargain too, the Value Pack version with an extra a 1GB memory stick and games case for the same price as the bog standard Value Pack over here. Croz 2, Rip Off Britain 0. Don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks for it since good things come to those that wait. Which reminds me I must get some Euros for the upcoming meet sorted.

The white one's limited edition and will possibly be Japan only.

On a completely unrelated note, did someone else guess David Frost for that radio quiz?

Yes, it went before the school hols.
Amazing it went on so long, with the clues he gave out - *shrug*

Yeah but I'd much rather have it on DVD, especially since there's "software" to allow you to stick full films onto a memory stick.

Have there been many ( "How many killin's?" </offtopic> films released in the PSP format? (UMD? I dunno)

*counts on fingers* Twelvety!
This Japanese PSP... I take it it's compatible with UK software? They haven't gone sneaking any nasty old regional coding or anything into it?

Zak T Duck Posted Sep 6, 2005
It is UMD movie region 2 encoded, but as both Japan and Europe are both in region 2 there should be no problem with watching UK films on it. The games shouldn't be an issue either as they are all apparently region free.

Grr, blimmin' Gordon Brown taking his cut. After customs charges it's come to the same price as a UK PSP. Well at least mine's white
