I started out on the half meg service with Telewest and have been upgraded twice so I can't complain. But I know how frustrated you're feeling - you want to take a stand but you're not in a position to do so

I and my downstairs neighbor now upgraded to broad band and built a wireless network. Splitting one service between the two of us is cheaper than two dial up services.

I ended up with NDO. Least hassle and best service for a reasonable price according to the reviews. They were great - quick and efficient.
