i've writhen some books on unix and oracle,
can i uploud them ? part of them in a roll ?

There's a little button on the left of your home space if you use alabaster (white background) and at the bottom if you use goo (blue background) that says "Add Guide Entry" there will be a box similar to the one that you wrote the question in. You'll have to either type in the entire book manually or cut and paste from whatever word processing program you have it in into that box. Then hit the add guide entry button at the bottom.

Of course the question is then, do you really want to do it? The BBC has joint copyright on anything you upload to the site and can publish it in any form they wish (it's part of the terms and conditions of joining the site). Also people might not like to read something that is too long, concentration spans on the internet are notoriously short, so do you really want to post a whole book(s) here?

Think of the site like a greatly expanded encyclopaedia, it tells you what something is, a bit of history about it and how other people use it. It might tell you a little about how to get started on something, but generally won't tell you absolutely everything you ever need to know about a subject so book are usually a little too much information.

That's not to say you can't do it, just that it might be better if you wrote a shorter synopsis of the programmes explaing what they are a history etc etc etc
