teenagers wearing as little as censorship will allow. ostentatious dancing and posing is 90% of the viewing. fair enough - sex sells and selling is their objective. i have no complaints with this. but when something with a little originality comes strolling in..a bit of humour, honesty, something that approaches it's subject directly and doesn't rely on a wazo pair of tits and a mile stretch of windswept hair to sell it - they cut ALL verses bar the first from the bloodhound gangs 'bad touch'.
i find it really very disgusting and offensive that mainstream media encourages whoever happens to be watching to spout garden variety bullshit in place of a display of actual occuring thought

hello, first off let me introduce myself...i am Agony Aunt and have not been here for very long...well, actually i have been sort of, i have been working for h2g2's virtual Post but have only just joined officially i must say that so far i am enjoying it a great deal.
i have just read your latest journal entry and must comment on it, i am glad to see that i am not the only one who has noticed this trend. maybe it is just my age and that generation gap is beginning to form but i seem to be noticing that there is much more 'shock value' to everything than there used to be. i can remember a time where advertisers and movie producers worked to charm you, make you think and impress you. now it seems that all they want to do is grab you and shake you up then see what falls out

I don't watch much in the way of telly, but i love my vcr. Movies. The best channels that i get here are Bravo (who recently starting having advertising which sucks, nothing ruins a good movie than stopping it and watching someone tell you of the benefits of cat litter) and the Independent Film Channel.

The one that's irking me at the moment is Cream; Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, apparently not with quite ENOUGH money, have decided to use "I Feel Free" to hawk CARS.
Dorks. Hendrix's estate sold out too; I think he's selling, of all things, Pontiacs. Ooh, and so's Sting. That's a whole OTHER rant, though. Grr. Grr grr grr. *stomps off*
