h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

To link to a User page on h2g2 you have to set your homepage to GuideML type while editing it & insert Fred wherever you want it to appear on your page, where U99999 is their researcher number.
Here's a worked example if you put Bruce somewhere on your page you'd get a link to my page.

One more little problem: can you do smileys in GuideML? Cos they don't seem to be working for me.

To do a smiley on a page in GuideML you have to use the html tag. There's good explanation here http://www.h2g2.com/A89903
with all the smiley file names.
