Every thing is fine here to all be it a little tense. I am glad to here you are well.

Well, I was sick all last week ... strep throat ... but I'm better now. I'm even headed back to school and work tomorrow (oh joy).

I am glad your are feeling better. My wife also had strep last week and was very unhappy and let me know it. LOL Normal routine is probally the best medicine for all of us right now.

seen any games lately?

Well, the Mets are well and truly out of contention, so I haven't seen any games lately ... wait 'till next year! <--- the chant of the Mets fan.

I live alone, so I didn't have anyone to complain to when I was sick. Tell your wife to be grateful for you!

not excactly what I meant about rooting for both teams but it does gives you something to cheer about either way I do the same thing with my dads team {boston} LOL

We went apple picking today and picked up some pumpkins. I like baking pies from scratch with my wife and daughter for the holidays. We ussually make about a dozen or so right before Thanksgiving and they last until xmas.


"A sweet moment"

Close your eyes it is mid November about 7 pm dark and in the thirtys outside. You are in a warm kitchen there are about 10 pies in various stages of completion apple,pumpkin,blueberry,and cherry. In the oven 3 pies are baking and a couple of pies are hot from the oven sitting on the stove top. The sweet aroma fills the air and . A mixture of cinnamon,fresh fruit,and a dozen other inticing smells beg you to sample the wears. The soft sound of seasonal music instills a sense of nostalgia deep in you. Ever so slowly your will breaks down and as you move to the still steaming pie on the stove. Your concense tries one more time to stop the inevitable, saving all these pies for the holidays. But alas it is a futile cause and soon you are slicing into a hot pumpkin pie made with fresh cream from two of the three pumkins you grow on the side of your porch by accident. Seeds from a pumpkin you were cleaning last holloween took hold and survived lawn mowings, kids and animals. As you slice the pie steam rises and you place the peice and a plate along with a dollop of hagen daz french vannila ice cream. The intense flavors is only rivaled by the combination of hot and cold. For a brief moment all in the world is good.

I have offically named the pumkin which we picked Saturday Shea the Sarcastic. It is now a center piece on our Holloween Display. Then come November it will reincarnated into a Xmas pie.

I'm honored, Starbirth. I just hope Shea the Sarcastic doesn't rot through the bottom!

I am sure it will have a warm sweet center like it's namesake.

I have started to rebuild my new site {even though it was never very elaborate it was home to me} you will notice my new researcher #. however the loki sight was created it is now starbirth reicarnate.

Well, sometimes it's easier to just give in!

Today after a brief hand washing the garden pumpkins were cleaned and strained in anticapation of pie baking. Countdown has comenced on Sheas sarcastic pumpkin pie" Notification will be sent out upon its completion.

On Wednsday November 21 in the year of our lord Two Thousand and one there came into the world two homemade pumpkin pies. Hence forth until the time they leave this earth they shall be known as "Shea The Sarcastic Pumpkin Pies"
